We just spent 350,- Euros at Ikea. Erm, hel-lo, where did it all go?
I mean, all we got were some (gorgeous luxurious big red velvet-like) curtains (4) for our bedroom, some big plastic boxes (2 for underneath the bed and 2 for the attic), a few tea-warmer candle holder thingies (3), a bit of bedding (2 matras covers for Olivier's new bed), a large rectangular photoframe, some small filing cabinets (2), some pillows (2), a couple of prettily embroidered cushions and a heap of bibs (10).
O. Come to think of it, that is quite a lot isn't it.

She's basically good at two things now: making me eat and making me pee. And if I don't do either of those two things quickly enough, my, does she pack a mean punch. Yup, she's a handful already.
Meanwhile, we're redecorating rooms upstairs. There's the guest bedroom that has to go - it has to be magically transformed into an almost three year old's room. Only his old room is so tiny that he's got almost no stuff at all to fill up the new room, so it... echoes. Good thing it's Autumn, the credit card online waving season. I am having a great time. Meanwhile, poor Pieter is busy lugging boxes of old books up up up to the dusty attic...

Just to let you know that a) yes I'm still alive and b) I'm doing quite well.
So is my little nephew Julian - see picture on the left!
It's autumn - and autumn makes me feel radiant. I just haven't been in a writing mood the past couple of weeks. But that may pick up again now that the colours are returning to the outside world and the wind is picking up leaves. And the belly's growing. First though, I need to get me a bucket of lukewarm water and clean some. Is that a nesting urge we feel coming on? So soon? It can't be!
