Bugger. Because of some silly soccer game (who cares about The Netherlands - Romania Armenia anyway?) they saw fit to cancel my favourite  t.v. series about midwives and their work! Boo! Boo, I say! My way to stay in touch with that whole having-babies-thing, and they cancel it.

Other than that, I'm good. Spring is in the aaaair and all that. Olivier discovering the joys of grass. No, garden grass, silly. Ha.  Blackbirds singing to each other.  Little black lambs frolicking in pastures. And the new Ikea that just opened a month ago here in Haarlem and that I will have the great pleasure of checking out next week. Good thing we'll probably be making our attic livable this Summer. Need space, just a leeeetle space, you know.

Pfffffft, fuzzy head. Let's go Simming for a while. But first: tea.

Yesss! The moment I've been waiting for!

This autumn, Wallace and Gromit's first ever big screen movie will be in theatres! Yay!

Go, check out their new site - W & G
And if you like, you can even join Gromit's fanclub. Hey, I did, too! :-)

I'm off to a weekend in a bungalow park with Pieter's family.  I'm sure it will be fun eventually, but I just can't suppress this feeling to run awaaaaaaaaaaaay. Maybe I'll just throw myself into the subtropical swimming paradise and stay there for the rest of the weekend. Ha.

What's worse - I just got an email telling me that my copy of The Sims 2: University will arrive today. Boo! That's it, I'm staying home. ;-)

Have a good one!

P.S. I've gotten it into my head.. let me rephrase that. Somehow, the idea has made it into my head that I need an Ipod Mini. A pink one. Not because I *need* it, but because it looks so  cute. Damn Apple's marketing team! Damn them all. I - will - not - give - in. Haven't got the money anyhow. Cute, so cute...

Wheee. I just got me a new cellphone. The Samsung E710,  camera included. Great - now I can take even more kiddie-pictures! ;-)

No other news, really. It's been raining all day, so Olivier & me haven't even been outside yet. He's taking a power nap right now - has been asleep since 11.30 this morning! (It's now 2.45 p.m.) What to do with all my free time... I think I'll return to my book. Do I sound boring or what.

hullo Heh. Ok. Not 5 minutes after I wrote this, Olivier woke up, of course. He then peed all over himself as I was changing his nappy. Oh well, it was time for his bath anyhow. :-)

Oh boy. Olivier's on a high today... it's been a very busy morning, as usual. So far, he's upended a crate of toys on himself, plus he climbed the first step of our stairway. Scared himself so much that he promptly slid down again. He's currently pestering Bolke the guineapig by slamming a cat's toy on his cage - again and again and again. Hmm. Better go pick up boy, give guineapig some much needed peace and quiet. BRB.

Right. Where was I. Oh yes - for the first time in history, I've managed to take a mommy-and-son selfportrait:

Olivier & me I do look a bit tired, but that's because the little mite woke up at 3.30 a.m. again this night.  I think he's a bit tired himself, judging by the cries coming from the general direction of the playpen... Mommy to the rescue! In a minute or so. ;-)

... and still it snows! My two colleagues & me just went outside to the nearby park and made a  snowman. His name is Tinus. :-)

§ Tuesday 01 March 2005

Hurray, I did my first garden work yesterday! I trimmed the roses. :-) And the ivy. Hands are covered in tiny scratches now, heh. And this morning I woke up to snow - just a tiny bit, but it looked superb - especially on the mount of ivy taking up the better part of our smallish patch of grass.

Onwards, onwards, got a whole day of work to do.

Hm. I think I need some hand cream. ;-)
