Because you're probably wondering what's going on in Olivier's life (and if you're not, well, just look the other way, thank you!):

He's now got three teeth, two of which can be seen here:

teeth

And he's trying to stand up!

up!

Also getting naughtier by the minute. And just last week, he was bitten by Bolke the guineapig. Hey, I would too, if I were a guineapig! Yum, chubby little babyfingers... :-)

Yay! Yay! Yay! We've got a date! The house and us, that is. We'll get the key on January 10!! :-)

So Olivier will have to celebrate his first birthday in Amsterdam after all, which is a shame, but... January 10 is pretty soon after!

Now I can finally start taking care of things. Pick out my movers, give notice to the flat's owner, start designing our change of address cards... and the biggest job of 'em all: start sifting through all our clutter and separate the valuables from the junk. Oh my. You just do not want to know what I collected during the measly two something years I shared this apartment with Pieter. Books alone will take me a day.

But even with that daunting task in front of me, I'm still over the moon!

P.S. I do apologize for my long absence. There is no excuse, not really. Apart from being extremely lazy and preferring the Sims 2 to anything else at all. Except for Olivier, of course. Ok, and Pieter. Oh alright, and perhaps sis too. ;-)

Oh, and I also accidentally and without knowing broke some Pivot-files, so I couldn't post anything! All has been set right (was fairly simple, too) with help of some great posts over at the Pivot Forum. Phew.

What else is new? Er, nothing, really. Unbelievable how dull my life seems, if my posts here are to be believed. Yet my days are filled! I'm sorting out all paperwork regarding Olivier's new daycare centre (dull, I hear you say - and I must agree...), I'm working, working out, taking care of Olivier (who now has three teeth!), playing Sims2... My life is packed, I tell you.

And I am so much looking forward to moving into our new house. Not to the move itself, that's going to be ghastly, as all moves are ghastly. But that feeling of starting anew in your freshly painted home... Two more months! The current estimation is first, maybe second week of January. Still keeping my fingers crossed...

Sweet sis has already moved to her new house. Some five minutes by bike from my new abode. I am jealous when I see how happy she is. Two more months, and then I too can leave this hellhole of a city behind and move to greener pastures. Counting the days!

It's not that I'm not around, it's just that I haven't got all that much to write about. When I come up with something, you'll be the first to know. ;-)

I truly don't know what's happening to this country.
