Sigh. When I read Mig's piece on orchestra rehearsals, I miss mine.

I kind of stopped playing after was born (almost three years ago, gasp!). As in: I tried, but what with the feeding and the sleep deprivation and all that, I just... couldn't muster the energy anymore. But lately (nice planning, Meike, now that you're almost about to give to kid number two), I've been thinking about starting all over again. It's just that we moved to another town, so I'd have to find a new teacher, and what if all the amateur orchestras around here are just too good for me, and the house is so noisy, and and and.

Well, you get the picture. But still. I do really miss my . It shouldn't be up there in the attic all by itself, poor thing. I'm going to get it down. No, correct that: 's going to get it down for me, because however much I love it, I'm not going to risk a nasty fall. Nope. And once it's down, I'm going to unwrap it and just...caress it for a while, I think. Let's see how that goes.

hello world

Well blah. It is very, very quiet here today at work. There's only three of us! All the rest of them are still lost in transit somewhere, I believe. Being rained on, or blown away. Sitting on trains or trams, waiting to be moved.

It's funny how when it's empty at the office, your work ethos drops below zero. Like you don't have to do anything when it's quiet. Thus I now find myself sitting here, contemplating the benefits of getting up and walking the five paces it would take me to pour another hot chocolate into my ridiculously large sheep mug. Or maybe I could even go to the loo! Or take the elevator downstairs to drop off a package at the post office! The possibilities are endless.

I'd much rather be at home though, making cakes, baking soup. O no, that's wrong (it's all 's fault. He thinks one bakes tea, instead of brewing it. It sort of changed the way I see things.). Or else torturing wool & cloth into another doll. Or playing , or Sims 2 Pets. Wouldn't that be grand.
