There! She’s done! During our mini-holiday this past week, I finished the doll I made during Fröken Skicklig’s dollmaking course a few weeks ago. Please meet Stella! 🙂

I am extremely pleased with the way she’s turned out, as is my daughter Nynke. 🙂 She’s usually a cars kind of girl, but she took to Stella immediately. Maybe there’s a girly girl in there somewhere after all?

Stella is stunning! I can see the mix of Juliane and your trademark styles in her. I can see why Nynke took to her! : )

Aww she’s absolutely gorgeous! The white hair was a great decision Meike! I’m glad you and Nynke are so happy with Stella! (And do you mind sharing where you got the sweet boot pattern? <3)

    Thanks Pippa!

And thank you Wiske! Going to hop over to your place in a minute to see yours!! I’m afraid I haven’t got a pattern for the booties… they were a gift for my son when he was born, subsequently worn by my daughter, and they have now moved on to Stella. 🙂

Meike, as I said on Flickr – Stella is gorgeous! It gives me so much energy to see all the beautiful dolls you and the other girls made, although it is your work and your doll, a tiny bit I could contribute as well… And so nice that Nynke fell for her! A very warm hug to you, hope to see you in July when I am teaching in Oestgeest…

Juliane – you’re teaching in Oegstgeest in July? I had no idea! Do you think we’d be able to meet up?

She is gorgeous! No wonder Nynke loves her.

The class is a course on demand by Antroposofie en het Kind, for their forum member only, therefore in Oegstgeest, otherwise I would have been at Ineke´s. But I hope to be in Amsterdam before or after the weekend – we should definately meet! I will talk with Ineke about her plans – would be so great to have a bit time together with her and also to see you…

    Thanks Whims and Trims! 🙂

Succes in ieder geval!

Hi I was wondering if you could make me a waldorf doll based on your froken skicklig class please? Please contact me at Nico alexa schwartz on fb or or right here 🙂

I am very sorry Nico, but that is something I absolutely will not do.If you’d like a Fröken Skicklig doll, I’d advise you to either buy one from her, or take one of her (e)classes yourself. I will not copy her style. Sorry to sound a bit harsh, but there is such a thing as copyright, and I’m not going to steal someone’s livelihood, especially not Fröken Skicklig’s, who really is trying to make a living from her dolls.

Can you tell me what material you used for Stella’s hair? (brand name included, if possible) It’s exactly what I’ve been looking for!

    Hi Shannan,

It’s mohair, but I haven’t got a brand name for you, sorry! No idea which company made it – but it was ordered from , which is a German store. it’s this one:

Meike–Stella is exquisite! I especially love her hair! When I have tried to crochet a mohair wig, it always ends up being flat. How did you get her hair fibers to stay so beautifully long and full?

I LOVE this doll! I am a huge fan of Fröken Skicklig and this is so beautiful – a lovely mix of your styles! I think your little one is very lucky to have such a beautiful doll to play with 🙂
