dollmaking in Amsterdam
Once again, I have been absent for much too long – seems like a recurring theme here… Nothing much has come from my hands lately, and that just doesn’t feel right.
But today, today I was creatively inspired. I went to Amsterdam for the first day of my dear friend Juliane’s dollmaking course, and it was just SO much fun! This is the result of today’s hard work:
Tomorrow, we’ll be doing the body, and if all goes well, we’ll all be able to take a complete doll home with us, Fröken Skicklig style. 
Thanks so much Juliane, you’re the best teacher (and a very, very sweet person besides!), and it’s wonderful you’re willing to share your techniques with us!

You are very lucky. I love the work of Juliane, but I’m in Brazil and we don’t have teachers like it here.
Thank God we have the internet and people like you who share what they know and help each other. I’ve learned a lot in your blog.

@ Dees: ooooh, het was ZO leuk!! Juliane is een schat.
Het was wel HEEL hard werken, ik waarschuw je alvast! 
@ Nicole: it was the most fun I’ve had in years! Exhausting, but SO much fun! I’d do it again in a heartbeat…

Fijn om weer iets nieuws te zien en van je te ‘horen’. Je bent een boffert dat je mee kan doen met een cursus van Juliane; ik wens je nog heel veel plezier!

How lovely!! I love doll making – a few years ago knit little dolls for all 4 grandkids (inc the littlest – a boy) – always fun to see ‘who’ they turn out to be!

Oh! I wish there was a class near me. You should see how I have struggled (in secret) to make dolls. I need to sit down with somebody to show me. I adore your dolls.

Hoi Dees,
Nou, dat herken ik helemaal! Wat was ik moe zeg, vorige week maandag! Ik heb echt anderhalve dag nodig gehad om bij te komen. Maar het was het wel helemaal waard!
Ik ben nog hard bezig aan mijn pruikje; ik ben nu ongeveer op de helft, schat ik. Zodra het klaar is komen er foto’s, absoluut!!
