knitted dollBecause new projects always come in pairs… Look what I found on Etsy – the cutest little baby doll pattern! Complete with tank & panties, and patterns for cabled sweater & pants and a party dress sold separately.

Sometimes I think it’s completely unfair that I have real life work to do as well. All I really want to do is knit! And make dolls, especially after my daily dose of the wonderful Christina, Jenny & Berrie. Makes my fingers itch!

Hickory Dickory Dot sweaterThe instant I saw this sweater, I fell in love. It’s a definite must have design! So I took myself (and hubby, much to his chagrine – “You know for how long we were in that yarn store? More than 30 minutes!!”) yarn shopping yesterday and cast on as soon as I got home. :)

From the designer:

A cute little sweater with a lap-shouldered construction (they are so wonderful and practical for onesies I figured why not a sweater?) and a pocket mouse to play with. Because what can be better than a warm woolly with a built-in toy?

Damn, how I hate having to feed so many addictions at once. Heh.

Not only have I been bitten by the Waldorf doll making bug, there’s also the needle felting bug, and then there’s my old friend the knitting bug. Where to start? Recently, the knitting bug’s been waking up again. As my twin siter gave birth to a lovely little girl last week, gifts have to be made. I’ve already made her a needle felted jingly ball (cannot load pictures to Flickr just yet, because my sister lives on Flickr, or so it seems! ;) ), and I’m now working on a pair of Saartje’s bootees. The little one is also most definitely going to need a little doll. Every little girl needs a little doll, don’t you agree? Just need to think up a nice pattern and then we’re off.

Work? I should get some real work done as well, you say? Bah. Who needs work. What we really need to do is play! ;)

crafty closetLook what I’ve got! It’s my new crafty closet! As soon as I started stuffing things into it it was full, of course. But the living room all of a sudden looks a whole lot tidier, notably the living room table. So much rooooom!

Must immediately go claim it as my own again. Need to finish my needle felted jingly ball anyhow so… Let’s clutter. ;)
