It’s my birthday today. 🙂 Mine and my sister’s, of course! It’s a strange age, 34. My husband was 34 when we met – and now, I am too. I was 26 at the time… so young… so long ago!!

Anyhow. I’ve already had my big present – the sewing machine – a couple of weeks ago. So I bought myself some presents too, heh.

There’s the excellent Woolpets book (see the giraffe? I’m in love!!), there’s Jan Messent’s Knit A Fantasy Story and there’s Little Felted Animals. I’m not quite sure when I’m going to make all this, but that’s besides the point, right? 🙂

pumpkin and hedgehog

Instead of trying out my new machine, I was needlefelting last night. Shame on me! 😉

This is a project I found in Living Crafts (the latest issue, Autumn), my copy of which I received yesterday. I just couldn’t resist! It’s a pumpkin home for little hedgehogs. Wouldn’t you want to live there if you were a hedgehog?

Yes, definitely getting ready for Autumn here. Who cares if August is  still only halfway…

presents for MareO, and before I forget – I can finally post pictures of the presents I made my new little niece Mare! She was born March 14. 🙂

There’s a pair of Saartje’s bootees and a needle felted jingly ball. The bootees fit perfectly! I don’t think my sister was all that thrilled with the jingly ball, but hey, we can’t all like the same things. I had fun making it, that’s important too I guess.
