It’s my birthday today. 
Mine and my sister’s, of course! It’s a strange age, 34. My husband was 34 when we met – and now, I am too. I was 26 at the time… so young… so long ago!!
Anyhow. I’ve already had my big present – the sewing machine – a couple of weeks ago. So I bought myself some presents too, heh.
There’s the excellent Woolpets book (see the giraffe? I’m in love!!), there’s Jan Messent’s Knit A Fantasy Story and there’s Little Felted Animals. I’m not quite sure when I’m going to make all this, but that’s besides the point, right?

Instead of trying out my new machine, I was needlefelting last night. Shame on me! 
This is a project I found in Living Crafts (the latest issue, Autumn), my copy of which I received yesterday. I just couldn’t resist! It’s a pumpkin home for little hedgehogs. Wouldn’t you want to live there if you were a hedgehog?
Yes, definitely getting ready for Autumn here. Who cares if August is still only halfway…
O, and before I forget – I can finally post pictures of the presents I made my new little niece Mare! She was born March 14.
There’s a pair of Saartje’s bootees and a needle felted jingly ball. The bootees fit perfectly! I don’t think my sister was all that thrilled with the jingly ball, but hey, we can’t all like the same things. I had fun making it, that’s important too I guess.
